Snubbing Operator-Oil & Gas

Essential Job Functions
Operates Snubbing units and associated equipment without supervision.
Must have developed necessary skills within the service line and grasp a general understanding of other service functions.
Must be fully trained in operating all associated pressure control equipment (Fluid Pump, Nitrogen equipment).
Conducts the pre-job and post-job inspections and testing of the snubbing units by completing pre and post job inspection forms.
Conducts the maintenance and general upkeep of the snubbing units and related equipment.
Knowledge of snubbing unit operations, including but not limited to correctly connecting hydraulic hoses, equipment startup, engaging of prime mover and hydraulic pumps. A demonstrated knowledge of the function and location of all snubbing unit operating controls.
Has an active and lead role in mentoring the snubbing assistants.
Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate supervisor.
Delegates certain job tasks to the Snubbing assistants during job operation.
Maintains a safe work area or job site by following QES HSE and Standard Operating Procedures.
Assists with job site operations as directed.
All other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience (Minimum and Preferred)
Prior work experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance (preferred).
Licenses, Certifications, Credentials (Minimum and Preferred)
Valid Driver's License, Class A CDL preferred, with hazardous material endorsement
Work Hours/Overtime
Ability to work a varied schedule, with the possibility of a 24 hour on call schedule.
Work Environment/Location (i.e., Office, Shop, Field or Combination)
Combination, but primarily Field.
Travel (i.e., Negligible, 20%, 50%, Significant)
Good language Skills.
Must have the ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
